Cute Camping Gear

Camping gear has come a long way, baby.

These soft, stylish designs are a shout-out to all the fabulous women who are hitting the road for camping adventures. We no longer have to settle for military surplus green.

For my cute camping gear recommendations, I chose items meeting two main criteria: practicality and design. Because we camp in a small van, every item we take with us has to be worth its weight, served up with a side of style! 😎

Here’s the gear that made the cut.

First Up, cute camping cups

The little enamel cutie on the left from Camp Casual covers the gamut of the camping sisterhood, featuring a teardrop, canned ham trailers and a vintage RV. Happy camper in a cup. 🙂

For an insultated cup, we love SUNWILL Insulated Wine Tumblers, and we’re not alone: with over 13,000 reviews and a near-perfect, five-star rating on Amazon, this brand wins the people’s choice award for camping cups.

These cups will not only keep your drink cold, but they’ll also feel great in your hand – all while adding some serious style points to your campsite.

Mood lighting: The Candelier

UCO Candelier Candle Lantern

The UCO Candelier Deluxe Candle Lantern is one of my most beloved camping items. The ambiance created by candles is something real, and the Candelier has perfected the candle game IMHO because it’s solved two problems: candles going out as they burn down and not giving off enough light.

Candelier candles are spring-loaded, so they stay at a consistent height. And the three together kick off some serious light that scatters nicely, covering your campsite with a warm glow instead of the stabbing beam of bright light its LED competitors throw off. Love, love, love.

Porta Potty Cover

The small, portable toilet we use in our van works great. The only problem is that it doesn’t look so great.

I solved the problem by making a slipcover designed to disguise it. I named it the Cutie Pot.

The Cutie Pot is super easy to sew, just a few seams. You can make your own custom cover to match your camper with my pattern.

An adorable, foldable, electric kettle.

That’s right – a kettle that folds. And cute to boot!

This foldable kettle comes in five colors.

This electric kettle is made from food-grade silicone and collapses into a saucer-sized disc by pushing it down. The removable handle snaps to the side and the power cord comes off. It can be switched from 110 or 220 voltage, so you can use this for any kind of travel, all around the world.

Next up, the Twinkle Mini Butane Stove.

Stoves perform a basic function: they provide flame so you can heat food or water. Why not make them cute, right? I like that these are uncomplicated. Form, function, and fun.

These are so cute that they come with “child resistance operation” – so kids can’t easily ignite them, because they may want to play with them. And we might, too. 🙂

The Original Puffy Blanket

The Yosemite National Park Blanket by Rumpl

The idea behind Rumpl blankets is pretty simple: they are sleeping bags you use as a blanket. Basic Genius, right?

These blankets are actually feature-packed.

The Original Puffy Blanket is lightweight, packable, and made with all the tech that goes into good sleeping bags. It is filled with down, and the outer layer is made of recycled material that’s water, odor and stain-resistant, able to repel everything from dirt to pet hair.

As a bonus, you can wear it! Each blanket comes with a “cape clip” that allows it to be worn hands-free when snapped together.

The Yosemite National Park Blanket above is part of the National Parks Collection, which supports the parks by donating a portion of each purchase.

The Kelty Bestie Blanket

For a lower-cost, cute camping blanket option, consider the Kelty Bestie Blanket, a steal at $25.

Stylewise, the Kelty holds its own against the Rumpl. The big difference between the two is in the materials: The Kelty uses synthetic insulation instead of down that provides “lightweight warmth.” It’s also not advertised as being water- or stain-proof.

Fans of Kelty say this blanket is soft, easy to store, and can even be used as a pillow. This blanket is the same length as the Rumpl – 75 inches – but is 10 inches shorter in width, at 42 inches.

True Blue: stylish tenting from Stoic

These items are my cloud cuties. The design features a heavenly shade of blue that’s relaxing to look at, perfect for drifting off to sleep. The Stoic brand is known for combining quality with affordability. These two are served up with a side of style.

The mattress is foam-filled and Stoic’s most comfortable; the tent features a gear loft and two doors so you can escape without crawling over your tentmate. A great idea for a small tent! This tent comes in three colors, including a pine-cone pattern which is adorbs.

Mini lanterns

Hokoiln LED lanterns

After all my years of camping, I’m still working on getting our lighting right. We never seem to have enough lighting…or should I say, enough of the right kind of lighting. We’ll have 8 flashlights but nothing to hang in a tent at night or to light the perimeter of our campsite.

I recently discovered that the solution to our problem is mini lanterns. They are super versatile. You can hang them anywhere and, unlike flashlights, you don’t have to hold them. You can set them down and they will do their job.

These Hokoiln LED lanterns feature three brightness settings, a soft light, and a vintage look. They remind me of the jelly candies that were always in jars in the living rooms of older folks we’d visit when I was a child.

Cute enough to eat, right?

Camp Zero 20 Premium Cooler in Coral

Camp Zero Pink Cooler

This large cooler features stainless steel hardware, is certified bear-resistant and holds 42 quarts.

It comes in over a dozen colors. I chose pink because the other brand of cute cooler (Yeti) limited its pink production, making them hard to come by.

Reviews say Camp Zero coolers, which cost less than Yeti, work just as well.

Thanks for the great tips, will definitely help with my kids when camping in the mountains where it gets quite cold at night.
